DTC - Customer Service Coordinator

The Kapcsandy Family Winery, an ultra-premium small family owned winery located in Yountville, CA is looking to fill a full-time position with varied responsibilities and duties.We need a person who is detail oriented, well organized, with highly developed analytical & computer skills, is personable, meets deadlines and has five (5) years of winery related experience.

Key responsibilities:

Customer Service via phone and email:

  • Responding to customer inquiries.
  • Entering phone and tasting room sales through the website.
  • Processing wine orders.
  • Assist with coordinating packing and labeling shipments.
  • Knowledge of Ship Compliant requirements.
  • Experience with wine order fulfillment processes.
  • Opening, decanting and preparing wines for tastings.
  • Setting up tasting room with POS materials and glasses
  • Washing and buffing wine glasses after tastings and taking care of open bottles.
  • Interface with website host to update, maintain and to keep website fresh and current.
  • Maintain the website wine shop.
  • Update news and press articles.
  • Update photos and content of website.
  • Maintain customer data base with accurate information.
  • Updating Access database with customer information on a weekly basis via import from Excel.

  • Setting up allocations for direct customers.
  • Formatting, preparing & managing email blasts.

Order Processing:

Maintaining organized calendar of events, tours & tasting schedules, set-up and cleaning:

Schedule & organize tours & tastings with owner’s schedule

Website maintenance:

Coordinate wine releases & Inside sales:


  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience within a winery environment.
  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point experience.
  • Basic photo shooting and editing knowledge.
  • Basic Napa Valley wine knowledge.
  • US citizen and/or documented immigrant
  • Valid CA drivers license.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Strong communications skills via phone and email.
  • Internally driven, motivated and a self starter.
