Warehouse Inventory Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The warehouse & inventory manager position covers all aspects of case goods inventory management across our tasting room, 3rd party warehouses, quarterly wine club shipments, and distribution order fulfillment. This role is responsible for managing the in-house fulfillment center’s day-to-day operations and the team within it. The warehouse & inventory manager reports directly to the operations/winemaking team and also plays a dynamic interaction with the tasting room, distribution sales, and wine club team, and general farm operations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee & participate in all warehouse & fulfillment activities.

- Scheduling, training and supervision of in-house warehouse employees.

- Manage & maintain our warehouse staff by retaining, recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Provides appropriate HR duties such as coaching & setting employee expectations; monitors and appraises job results.

- Manage warehouse team weekly & daily workload; including but not limited to: waxing, labeling, wine club allocation packaging, and recurring shipping & receiving movements.

- Keep track of wine & packaging material inventory levels & forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual needs. Determine inventory reorder levels to ensure product/material availability and minimize storage/operational inefficiency costs.

- Work with Distribution & DTC Sales teams to keep “ship-ready” product in-stock at all relevant locations.

- Process sales orders (DTC & distribution); organizing packing slips & shipping labels, pulling materials; packing boxes; and staging orders in the delivery area.

- Manage the shipment & distribution of product to consumers, distributors or retailers with proper poise and etiquette. Works directly with shipping partners to maintain that relationship & solve any shipping problems for our customers.

- Quarterly physical inventory audit across all facilities.

- Analyze and develop logistics plans that will help improve our distribution, inventory, and warehouse operations.

- Maintains & improves physical condition of warehouse; keeping record of status and condition of the building and any equipment used for the daily operation of the space. Takes the lead in doing/requesting repairs on the building and equipment.

- Help manage & maintain the proper maintenance of our farm’s vehicle fleet & farm equipment.

- Needs to be able to organize & prioritize work-load and self-direct daily activities.

- Communicate and keep Winemaking/Operations team informed of current and pertinent issues.

- Willingness to help in the farm operation activities as requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience in the field is preferred. However, we are mostly looking for someone who is self motivated, works well with others and enjoys tackling projects.

Spanish language is encouraged.
